Lori Hahnel is the author of two novels, Love Minus Zero and After You’ve Gone, and two story collections; Nothing Sacred and Vermin: Stories , which was a finalist for a High Plains Book Award, the CAA Fred Kerner Book Award and the Saskatchewan Foundation for the Arts Glengarry Book Award. A new novel is forthcoming from University of Calgary Press in Fall 2023. Her work has appeared widely in journals including The Fiddlehead, Joyland and The Saturday Evening Post, and broadcast on CBC Radio.
Lori served as Calgary Public Library’s 2020 Author-in-Residence, as a mentor at The Banff Centre’s 2018 Summer Writing Retreat, and has held many other teaching and mentorship positions.
