Time and tide wait for no man

Just a proverb I was thinking about today. Maybe because of the end of Daylight Savings Time, or something. I had no idea it was a proverb, though. I thought it was a quote from Donne, or possibly Shakespeare. Turns out its origins are a little unclear. Interesting discussion about it here at the English Language and Usage Stack Exchange. I’m sure I’ll be visiting often.
