That’s my dear friend Diane Girard and myself hanging around after our most enjoyable lunch on Toronto’s Church Street. We don’t get the chance to meet in person too often, since I live in Calgary and Diane lives in Kitchener, but when we do get together we enjoy ourselves. It was a brief and busy trip: I attended the Access Copyright summit on Thursday and the AGM on Friday morning. I spent Friday afternoon with Diane and Friday evening at Eaton Centre. Saturday morning I had time for only a small portion of the Art Gallery of Ontario, which I enjoyed very much. And then it was back to Calgary Saturday evening. Interesting time!
Next up: the kick-off to my two-month long writer-in-residence term for the Alexandra Writers Centre Society at Gravity Espresso and Wine Bar. Last year’s w-i-r, Marcello Di Cintio, will be joining me in this reading which gets started at 7 PM. Check the AWCS webpage for information on the other events connected to the residency, including the one-day workshop Life Into Story which goes this Saturday, May 4th. Looking forward to working with AWCS again.
