The WGA writing retreat at the Banff Centre was excellent. Great to meet with other writers, exchange new ideas, enjoy the mountain air, take in art and music. And do some writing, too. Then there was the Vistas Dining Centre buffet — a bit like writing at an all-inclusive resort. Now it’s back to reality, but I will return to the Banff Centre one day.
In the meantime, there’s Writing in the Works Spring 2013 to look forward to! Featuring readings from new works by Ken Cameron, myself, Steve Passey, Inge Trueman and Roberta Rees, emceed by Susan Calder. A varied and rich lineup with iron and three essential vitamins. That’s coming up on Thursday, April 11, 7 PM at Memorial Park Library, 1221 – 2 St. SW.
Readings, refreshments, book sales…safe to say, I think, that’s it’s pretty much everything you’ve ever dreamed of.
I think this is going to be a very exciting event!
It’s on my calendar, but it seems like such a long way off… Of course I’m not reading. Those who are, might see the date looming much too soon.
Hell, yes, Steve, it’s going to be exciting. We didn’t even tell you what we do to new readers.
Just under two months, Minkee. Lots of time for people to practise, right?
